Self care – how you take your power back

Lately I’ve paying attention more on myself – how Im really doing. For few months, I have just been focusing on to go further and forcing myself to keep going no matter of the obstacles. Being like steam train, just pushing forward. Shutting down everything else than the necessarities and while trying to keep the things running as steady as they can be. Kind of lost on a survival mode, now when looking back. Pushing myself literally to the limits. And as I have been now taking more time for myself, as checking how Im really doing  and feeling at the moment, after going through one hell of a triathlon of changes ”for one sit”, I have been focusing on the things that bring the joy into my life, and making sure that my inner peace is secured.

When you are so use to be fighting for yourself, for your dreams, its so easy to get lost  in the process. There are times for that, that is more than necessary to pay extra attention on your current process, no matter is it about growing mentally, physically or business wise. The thing is, as well the growing game is a marathon, the intensive parts of the way are must to keep as a sprints in between. You cant keep running the whole run with the maximum speed. Unless you are superhuman, but for sure I ain’t one.

So as I were going through a lot on a many changes on different aspects on life and trying to keep myself staying on track, I were also giving up a lot during that time periodt. Being time to time so exhausted, that if the routines of mine would not be so tide on my core, I would be easily got off track and maybe even be ruining all process that has been already made.

And it helps, if you have built your core of steadyness on top of the things that bring you joy . For myself, keeping my exercise routine on track, eating food that nourishes my body, being able to have long walks on the beach and so on, are the few things to keep my head together in waves of life – in all the ups and downs.

Honestly I were so stressed out that even if I really felt like it, I was not able to cry – even if I had every goddamn reason to cry my eyes out as I felt like hitting on the wall – again, again and once again. On that point, I realized that now is the time to slow done and start focus on the things that will give me more joy, reliefing the stress of the mind. And it may sound easy, but really it felt like trying to solve  the ball of string that was all tangled up, just trying to find the end of the string were to start solving things out.

Slowing down the mind while moving other wise.

One of the talents of life is to listen yourself, and regonizing when to stop and when is really the time to push forward. The line in between can be drawn on the water, so the more aware you are on your abilities and your strenghts, the more capable you are to spot which things are wise things to do. And especially, when is necessary to stop to catch a breath. For me, now it has been time to put more focus on myself, taking care of needs of my own. As you can’t keep pouring from empty cup, mine was in serious need for the refill. Starting again doing things, that are bringing me more joy and recharging the batteries. Focusing mostly onto mental side, feeding my focus but at the same time getting more back onto those things that balance me, and to those things that will charge my inner batteries of inspiration.

When everything around is already changed, including your daily patterns that you have been maintaining more or less  till this day, you are in a situation that you can be either trying to keep on the remaining things as they are or explore what new ways there would be opening up to you. In between the changes you are able to spot  the things that uplift your mood in daily basis and what are the things that, in the end, are not working on your favor at all.

For me, details matter. In every aspect on my life. I can have  the big picture  ready, but the details are the ones to give me the chills, exciting me. The Little things.

As Im still feeding the focus, Im also at the same time nourishing my soul – keeping my eyes and heart open to be able to notice the beauty on every day life but also keeping on eye for the things that excite me as well as they feed my inspiration. For the creative person like me, the flashes of inspiration are the gas for the flames.

For others, the outer changes are the ones to be seen,  as I have been now dedicateing time for so called me  time – doing things that I have not been ”having the time” to do, in other words, I have not giving myself the permission to give myself the credit for accomplishes I have already made. It can be anything from taking the looooong bubble baths  to going for having your hair done, only thing that matters is the thing that you needed it and it really made you feel happier. For others, the outer changes are the ones to be seen,  as I have been now dedicateing time for so called me  time – doing things that I have not been ”having the time” to do, in other words, I have not giving myself the permission to give myself the credit for accomplishes I have already made. It can be anything from taking the looooong bubble baths  to going for having your hair done. And it doesn’t have to be anything materialistic, only thing that matters is the thing that you needed it and it really made you feel happier. Little celebration also makes accomplishes to be more realistic for the mind.

That is, by the way, as important as feeding the focus. When you manage to reach out of one of the small steps on the way, it is still also one of the finish lines on the way and you should give the Credit for yourself for overcoming what ever you were going through.

I have started to feel the change on myself; the source of inspiration has started to percolate again. As we want to put things out as fast as possible, you can only do that after making sure that everything is on place inside.

The biggest invest that you ever can make, is investing on yourself. The value relies on balance.

Lesson learned.
