The headlines wise words are borrowed from greek philosopher Socrates. Independence doesn’t mean being alone, it means being okey to being also alone. When choosing to please others over your own truth, well, thats where you are going wrong. You may make others happy, but also, at the same time, you are showing them the lines of your own limits. And it is up to you, are you making others happy on cost of your own wellbeing. And If the people get upset on what you decide to do and it is not what they think you should be thinking or what they think you should be coping with, then that means that they are not respecting you and the limits of yours.
Everyone is different, and we all have different needs.
This has been a big switch for my mind, to be able to understand more on what I really do need more in my life, and what aspects I will need to get rid off. In away, I have had the feel like I have been staring the wall too closely for too long and lost the red string on certain things. And when doing that, noticing more distractions risings as well as feeling more overwhelmed. The amount off relief that I have found on past few weeks from all the personal aha-moments, they really have come from taking the small steps towards more effective and suitable surroundings. You really are what you consume, to both, body in mind-like, and for that reason the changes are necessary to make. As we do change during the years, meaning the growth and evolving, so should also be what comes on the things overall around us. Its okey to outgrow from the old.

If you tend to find yourself circling the same circle over and over again, and you know that your mindset is correct, it might be the deal, that you have been surround yourself with things and people that don’t serve you in the way no more what comes to your own wellbeing and being able to take the step forward.
I really can’t stress enough on how important to find the balance between your work and personal life. Especially if working as an entrepreneur, no-one is paying to you when you are sick, and you are losing more than gaining, so taking good care of your recover is as important as being able to work. Again the balance, the better care you are able to take of yourself in daily basis, no matter of the situation, the better results you are able to perform. – in and outside of your work place, but also on short and long term plans.
As everything in our lives has been tied together, the centre of your focus should always be yourself. Not to be selfish, but making sure that you really do live the life of yours. The choices that you make for you, are the ones that are showing the direction for your future. You can’t pour from empty cup, so if you are not respecting yourself is also showing the lack of respect to other around you. And if not taking care of yourself now, your engine will soon or later run empty and you already know that will not end well.
As I have been facing obstacles during the years on my own health, it keeps suprising me how easily you tend to loose the focus from your own wellbeing. Its so easy to slip from it, especially when entering on the new chapters in your life, if its like builded on your core, ’whoops’ and you are easily off track, as I have been mentioning before on this post. Its important to start noticing your own needs, in every situation. For example, if you feel drained already, its good to recognize, is it coming from lack of social life or from not taking enough time just to be by yourself. You current needs varies depending on your own personality traits but also on what is your current life situation.
I had also the opportunity to take further look on the things that will support my journey on long term and as in home-wise; The amount of personal space, not amount of square meters shared but the space and time that I’m able to have mentally wise. Its about taking your own space, knowing your limits and sticking with them. Also, respecting the limits of others too. For me, that was also a big aha moment, as I know that I really do need a lot time to charge my social battery to be able to perform well also in work as a customer servicer but also to be able to be more present with my fiends and family. As I like to spend time with people, but for me, it is really important to also have the time alone, and for that very reason, for me, the home is the area where I will charge my batteries.
If social events seems to be more draining you than giving you, then its time to look onto those situations and try get your hands on, what especially turns down your energy levels. The are not always having the choice to avoid them, so it is real important to know, what to do on those situations that temp to take more than give, and what you can do to charge yourself after those kind of situations.
When knowing what you really need and when, its easier to be on your on pulse on your needs on every moment.
Running with full power, you are able to complete tasks with less energy used – both body and mind wise.
