Confidence & Cowboy Boots: Why Slowing Down is the Ultimate Power Move

”All you need is confidence and pair of cowboy boots”

Saw this sentence and it made me laugh, as it could not be more accurate what comes to the riding session few weeks back, especially as a while a ago I were again having a possibility to get back on sattle and refresh my memory and what I had learned about riding since those riding classes.

I totally losted the sense of time while riding, enjoying and taking in every minute and moment of it – with the confidence and pair a cowboy boots.

Especially i need to mention that first rounds went truly with confidence, trusting that what i had been learning int he past, that would still come from the spine. There were zero percentage of fear precent, only passion and confidence, that I can do this. Also, the love and respect towards these lovely animals.

Since childhood, I have had a weak spot for the horses, there is just something in them that speaks to my soul. And that in calming, grounding way. The way that you just forgot phones, everything, its just you and the horse, the moment itself.

That two hour session was like a reset button to my nervous system. Much needed one, also  at the same time cherishing my inner childs joy.

That took me back to that, what I have been mentioning earlier here too, about recognizing what you were naturally turning towards to when you were younger. What made you excited, what made you feel alive and what were the things that you got so focused that you just lost the track of time. Because there is you hidden path, there relies your true path.

You don’t need to go after everything that excites you, but pay attention what keeps you grounded yet moving and aim to keep those things in your life.

Because, when  you do so, your everyday life will be feeling fulfilling thanks to these even smaller things.

What feels natural, will also feel fulfilling making those moments grounding. And I personally feel that this is something that we all are needing more or less in this hectic everyday life. Something that makes stop and really be in the moment.

Recently I have also been slowing down overall too, as I realized that thats what my body also needs now. And the more I have made the pace steady, the more eI have been able to been pointing out what I could do now, on this very moment better yet slower, and how it could benefit me in long run.

Just like with horses, its about reflection. Animals reflect back the energy that you give to them, the same way the energy returns through our actions in everyday life too – and there  relies the importance of understanding the causes of our actions, in our own life but also what comes to the affects to others.

So, based on that, the more aligned you are the more magnetic you’re for the things that keep on fueling you, making you do better and performing better, creating that positive, fulfilling cycle.
