Patience Is Strategy, Not Weakness

Little bit patience takes you further in a long run. Thats what past months, but especially the past most itself, has been teaching me personally but also by observing others. When you don’t act or react directly that can be actually a  strategical move, as many situations are builded for having instant reaction. But what if you take a moment to really take it all in instead of rushing  directly into finding a solution?

On a bigger decisions, I have been noticing that it is indeed wise to sleep one night in between, if thats possible. If you don’t have direct answer straight away, or solution that feels right in every aspect, the little pause will help you to clear your head. Pending under the pressure will not make you more effective, the pressure is there to distract you to rush. And when you rush, the decisions made may affect negatively to the actual goal of yours.

Quick decision making is a skill that can safe you from unwanted outcomes plenty of times, but also it’s important to be able to notice the times that actually the wisest thing what should be done, is pause for a moment. Decision making also done by thinking long term affect helps narrow down the things that may get you what you want now, but giving you extra stress later on. Basically saving you from just postponing the unwanted result.

Pause and rewind, what are my options actually and what all the outcomes could bring along with that chosen path or outcome? We can’t always have a total win, but what would be the most beneficial outcome of the current situation, also thinking in a long run?

Because the thing is, what we are choosing now, will affect on to the future ahead of  us. Every decision, every act. All of those will have have a butterfly effect, so being mindful on what you do is crucial – especially when its about bigger changes.

Pausing for a moment also helps narrow down to see what are the things that I am able to affect on on this very moment but also to reflect what really could work in your favor the best.

Change is good, when its about bettering your life, and for that reason it is important to understand the effect of our act on this very moment. Pause is not an act of weakness, it’s a sign of mastering the urge of an instant reaction. And when you know exactly when to give instant reaction and when taking a step back to deliberate about given options, you hav e mastered the a skill that will help you to navigate in life while making sure that there is less (unnecessarily) burned bridges left behind.

The pause itself also brings down the extra noice, when you are not blinded by all the options and you are able to go through all the options with time, narrowing down   the things that would take you further  from the options that would do the very opposite. Also, when you are able to stay calm in waves of changes, that holds incredible amount of power – even on those moments, when might at first feel like you hav eno control on anything at the moment. But thats the catch, when you have the control on yourself, you can still affect on how you react. And how you react, will affect on others –  either on your favor or against of it.

So it ain’t total nonsence, when they say that patience is the key.
