Slow Down to Move Forward: The Power of Reflection

Things don’t happen to us, they happen for us. When something comes up with ”access denied” that only mean that there’s actually something else in store for you.

Everything is aligning as it is supposed.

Sometimes even so, that the thing you that already sensed to happen, happens soon than you were thinking of to happen. We daily collect plenty of data that is storage into our subconscious mind, which is where all the dots will eventually connect. And with time, make sense too.

We may have few midway stops along the way, the ones which are like pit stops on our journey from our next A to the next B.

Spotting what works for you and what doesn’t align with your path will set out the guidelines for better and happier life, as you are more likely able to spot the ones that are your opportunities from the ocean of the possibilities. That means in a long run more wins that losses, but first the lessons need to be learned.

Like in relationships for example, some people come to our lives and the paths are crossing only for shortly. This kind persons are like little guidelines, pointing out what we want or don’t like. The same ideology works also on other areas of life.

I have had now few quieter months here but that purely because there has been so much going on, inside of m head but also outside of it. Writing actually is one of the things that keeps my mind together, life has been hectic enough for making me slow down in all areas that has been possible, challenging yes but good exercise as well for the mind too for getting new perspectives.

And to be honest, sometimes pause even from the things we like the most, can give us a totally new boost of energy of doing.

Past few months I have also been forced to make time for recovery and rest, and as Im known for staying on the move, this really has been a challenge, as staying on the move has also been a strong coping mechanism of mine.

But as it has been in the past been the active part of the progress of the problem solving, now it had turn against myself and started to cause even more of the stress than being the relief for it. There has really been a huge learning progress in slowing down and for accepting that doesn’t mean that you will stop entirely (altho in same cases that might be the only option for a minute), its more of slowing down so that you actually are able to focus also what goes around and inside of yourself.

One of the new perspectives has also been for me that time to time, its actually more wiser to be the princess who needs to be saved than unconditionally hold on to the perspective of staying in the mood of the Queen who needs no one. Don’t get me wrong here, I rather have myself in a situation that I would be able to handle what ever life throws you into, but in a long run, its getting, and also got, really heavy.

Its not a weakness  to ask for help, thats actually your strength and wisdom to recognize that  you need a helping hand. Learning to recognize this  but also put this in action has been one of the lessons during this year.

Even the strongest person will be in need for help of others time to time, and there relies a new kind of power in the unity when you combine your strengths.

ps. My new years resolution is to keep posts coming up at least for once in the month, so stay tuned!
