”When everything seems to be against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.” – Henry Ford
This quote did speak to me.
During these couple off months when I have been literally been in need to slow down due many obstacles, I have been still been noticing that even though for example due my knee injury Im still unable to run and I’m having some limitations because of it also at the gym, I have still been able to gain new perspectives and ways to to strengthen up my body while stepping out my normal routines and finding ways to work with my current situation and not against off it.
My injury not just made me do a literal stop, but also it has widen up my perspective on many things.
When focusing on certain task, we might be having our eyes and minds holding on too tightly on a certain perspective that we narrowing down our sight too much because off it, and by that, we can miss out from opportunities and new possibilities as we ain’t anymore that open to see the bigger picture.
While I have been in need for new adjustments physically, it has also been rewarding as I have been noticing that the small changes I have been in need to do, they actually have been working on my favor. The changes have to been visible on that very moment but with the time, the results have been staring to show off.
Literally, step by step, day by day. The same goes to mental side too, I have been even more eager to spot what feels really overwhelming but also to been pointing out why. What has been the root cause to it, and how I’m able to work myself around of it while working on to make the improvements needed.
and lets make it clear, it ain’t easy and Im not always nailing it, but the crucial point actually is that at least Im aware of the factors, that I need still work on. Failing time to time is part of the process, but also keeps you grounded. Some days are easier, and some days, well, I’m just happy that at least I made some progress keeping in mind that daily improvement of 1% will be at the end of the year 365% (if keeping yourself on track). Small habits, but big picture.
And while the journey is about to learn more and aiming for progress, it is also about to learning to let go. As the life is not always serving shoot sailing, its important to have the understanding and being gentle to yourself, and to let go off the things and situations that no longer serve you, make the peace with the things that have happened and heading to the new adventures with knowing better now.
