When something feels right, you should just follow your instinct – really, do it. No matter who says and what, you should follow that strong feeling. It is so easy to listen the nay-sayers, but believe me, you will be haunted by your desires if you don’t take the actions towards them. Got an offer on flights and opportunity travel to your dream destination, but seems like no one is able to join in? Book those flights to your self and let the life suprise you.
How many times you already been on the situation, that in the end you are thinking oh, I should have been doing or stepping up for that. You may be handled your dreams on a silver platter, but if you don’t trust yourself enough to take the change, you will miss more opportunities and gain the lack of experiences. Because, in the end, if it is not a success story, it is good lesson. Knowledge is a power you know, and the best way to learn is by taking the action, doing. And while you do, you learn why certain things are not working for you, or like over all why the very thing might not be the best solution.
And the best way to really do you, plus dig deep on what really works you while challenging yourself, is to travel.
Taking yourself out of a familiar atmosphere is a golden opportunity to learn more about yourself; By traveling alone I have been taking time also to get a learn more about myself. It is fun to share a trip with a friend, but the most I have gain experiences among lessons of myself and my own habits have come from by traveling alone. By taking the distance, challenging myself to see further than my routines and the lines of my safety zone. Going new places and heading to new experiences, only compromising with yourself and with no-one else. Thats when you can really took a good look how you cope with yourself, how okey you really are with your current state of mind when there is only yourself to rely on.
As life is about to living to yourself and to your own path, taking trips by yourself is the most effective way to get to know the real you, and facing all the habits that you currently are having by pausing your everyday life and taking yourself away from your own comfort zone. When you are surrounded with by unknown, you are more open to yourself and not relying to anyone else need than yourself.
If you miss the sightseeings or local events, there is no one else to blame than yourself – the same way that opportunities are rising when traveling, they do appear also on your daily life. You just need to be as open to them as you are to new experiences.

When travelling with company, you tend to focus on what you want to do as a group so it is also at the same time more or less compromising on your plans and wants. Of course, croup of people also gives a security of some kind among the company, and shared trips are nice way to spend time quality time with your loved ones.
But by traveling alone I personally feel like the distance is more about taking a better look on how your life, and the your inner core, is currently building up, like seeing things from slightly different perspective. Everything you currently have around you, are the things that you have been accepting to your reality – both on your daily life but also on your vacations.
Now a days I’m more afraid of the lack of growth than lack of company to experience with. When traveling. Solo, you can do what you want, when you want. Only one to compromise with, is yourself – even then when sometimes you need to go for the extra mile to really get what you want. Sometimes the extra mile is necessary for the extra boost towards what ever you desire. But when there is a will there is a way.
As I do prefer exploring new places, Im also aiming for those personal A-ha- momentums, and sometimes you really don’t need to go to new places but you can have those kind of moments while taking a good look onto places visited before. And for me the latest trip to Greece was for that. In it all simplicity, every trip to there, working or having my holidays, it is always bringing up new things and sides – mostly from and about myself. The thing is, the more I get to know to Zante, the more I realize that I feel like a need to explore. As the island teaches about itself through people, nature and culture, it also challenges me to keep on listening also myself and to keep onto that open mindness that I did have when I did come there first time.
The open mindness has led to meeting new people, having deep and long conversation, witnessing sun downs and sun rises. When traveling with friends, it is easy to just stay on with your croup, but when being on the road by yourself you are more open to interact with the new people around you. As I was traveling alone, I never actually were alone unless I really wanted to be so. The difference to going by yourself to a coffee shop near by your house is that on vacations you more likely also interact with other travelers easier than as being at your home town, as you are sharing the same kind of laid back tendency.

Traveling by yourself over seas can be one scariest, but also most liberating and life chancing experience, and it is something, that everyone should try at least ones. It is hard to put on words how much even the shorter solo trip can gain awareness to your life, yu really have to do and experience that by yourself. You may do more, as there is none else to rely on, but oh boy how light feeling is present, when finally getting home.
For me, this kind of reset is the most finest ones to have
