We tend to go far, just to be able to see close.
It’s been a while since I have wrote anything, not even speaking of to publishing it.
Taking time for myself, and only for myself. Teaching myself again to appreciate the things as they are and not looking so much the world through the screen, living in the actual moment. And enjoying the every second of it.
The plan at first was just to take one week totally off from all of my social media accounts. Just to take the 100% focus on myself and the new, fresh start. In a place, that I basically didn’t know anything more than that the place was a small island in Greece, I went there to work as hairdresser, also having just information about where I was going to work and with who. Only bunch of new names, but still the literal jump to the unknown. But in away I felt in my heart the whole time that this was the right thing to do, and that I was going where I was ment to.
The calmness was present in myself, while I was preparing to take off, selling my furnitures and giving up on my apartment. Last glanses on my then current home city, visiting all the places with my dog that where my safe harbours when life was getting tricky. Soaking in the moments, while in my mind saying the last good byes. But also saying the good byes to my loved ones, to my friends and to my family. While saying those hard goodbyes one thing was sure; If I now back down from this, would be regretting it more than anything – with every inch of my body.
And in away, I knew that this was just a hint of the things on that were about to happen.

Since last past post, I moved permanently abroad. Starting from Greece, where the first plan was originally to just stay about two months but eventually I ended up to stay there about 5 months in total. In those months the small greek island itself teached me so much about life in general, but of course also in a cultural way, as i was gaining new experiences but mostly it teached me more of myself. What suits me and which not, making it more clear what kind of things, goals and dreams are the ones that I am like naturally aiming towards to. Shutting down the extra noice and distractions, to find again the voice of my own.
The best feeling in the world, is the feeling when you arrive to home. Landing to the island of Zakynthos filled me with that sensation. The warm, comforting feeling, that I belong to the winds of the world. The feeling of everything falling on to place, was suprisingly strong. With all it awesomness, I still would not say that it was easy road all the way.

Because even thought I was beyond happy with my current life situation and my new home island, I was also in a way forced to go through personal growht but also work throught the things that I had been just pushing aside and just tried to go ahead, for years or even a decade. Now as I look back, it was like trying to drive with a car (or bike) with flat tire.
Fresh starts are not fresh, if you bring along ”the baggage” that wheights you down and without solving the things that are holding you down, keeping you away for reaching your dreams in life.
And hell, it was painful thing to do, I will not lie about that. Imagine tearing yourself in to pieces and then building yourself back from all of those pieces, but this time so, that you really do focus why some of those ribbed parts are not belonging anymore to this new rebuilding process. This was also necessary thing for me to do, and finally I were able to take the time for myself for that. Also, I was in a place, that make it bossible to do it, I was at home. I was alone, but in away also at the same time, I were in safe place to bring to the daylight my own little demons, voices of others that were dimming me from my inner calling.

You know, to reach the same level of awareness that children have about themselfs? They are not afraid to dream, have big goals and they are believing with every inch of their little bodies that they indeed are able to go after their desires. And only few ones really do master to keep that ambition with ourselfs through the life, all the way to the adulthood. The ones that say that we should learn from the kids, they are are not wrong about that.
Actually, we may be teaching them the skills how to do things like riding a bike or how to fix things, but they are the ones, that are teaching adults to seek and thinking with the new perspectives in everyday life. They are not afraid to question things or to have open minds for new skills, information or things. Or even seeing the already familiar things in a new light.
All the new things, new culture among the hundreds of beautifull sunsets and sunrises were soothing my soul but also charching my batteries in away that I could never been even dreamed of. I met bunch of awesome personas, with whom I kept exploring the surroundings but also the depths of human mind and perspectives. You know the conversations, the ones that just keep on going and going, about expreciences, life and universe, that leave you feeling more fullfilled, open minded but also open hearted? Those are the best ones.
The new kind of happiness was starting to bubble in my veins. That kind of pure happiness, that makes you laugh out loud even if its unintentional, and that laught comes all the way and genuinly from bottom of your heart. The owerflowing joy that flows through your body, oh thats something that I wish for everyone, I truly do. Its one of the best feelings in the world.
Honestly, I didnt know how lost I were been years, not knowing what to do with my life. Not until I found myself again.

And the best thing to realize, was the fact that you really are the editor of your life and in the end, you are the one that is responsible of your own happiness. So dont let your happiness depend on any other, but on yourself. True happiness and joy can be found in everyday things, the little ones you might even take for granted.
Everythings is in your own hands.
Everything.
